Secondary 4 Tuition
Revision, past-year papers and exam technique for the national exams
What Secondary 4 tuition at EduZ covers
Secondary 4 is the exam year. The written papers run from October into November, with the English oral earlier in the year and the Science practicals shortly before the written papers. Our Sec 4 classes finish the remaining syllabus early and then work through past-year papers topic by topic, so students meet every question type before the exam does.
We teach E Math (vectors, probability, statistics and full revision), A Math (differentiation, integration, trigonometric identities and full revision), Pure Physics, Pure Chemistry, Combined Physics and Chemistry, English (Paper 1 writing, Paper 2 comprehension and summary, oral) and Chinese. Secondary 5 students preparing for the O Levels after the N Levels join the same classes.
Lessons are 1.5 to 2 hours in a small group, with a progress note after each lesson. Our O Level students have achieved A1 or A2 in 94% of the subjects they took with us. Free Sec 4 E Math and A Math practice questions are on the site.

English
S4 English focuses on meeting the expectation of the 'N' or ‘O’ Level English paper while pushing students to stand out in their essays and attempt their comprehension and communication examinations with confidence.
Content & Language Mastery
Even more complex written passages and more recent current affairs in-class discussion continues to make the bulk of lesson time to help students prepare for their final exams. Students continue to attempt papers of diverse topics to apply discussed ideas.
Skills and Techniques
Students are taught to master their critical evaluation, summarising and comprehension skills on a wide range of topics, while also organising and supporting arguments in a coherent and logical manner to substantiate arguments.
Revision and Reinforcement
Revision will be focused on mastering the individual 'N' or ‘O’ Level paper requirements and honing time management skills through practice tests in simulated exam conditions. Discussion on key topics will be held to build students’ repository of general knowledge and current affairs.

Chinese
S4 Chinese focuses on meeting the expectation of the ‘O’ Level Chinese paper while building students’ examinations confidence.
Content & Language Mastery
Lesson plan will be tailored according to the O level schedule, with focus on the May-July examination. Additional lessons can also be tailored for students who wishes to retake their Chinese in the year end examination.
Skills and Techniques
Specific skills to master the individual ‘O’ Level paper requirements will be taught to students. Personalized feedback and lesson plan will be provided to students in this final countdown period.
Revision and Reinforcement
Holistic revision, ranging from written text to comprehension to oral and listening will be the focus for the entire year. Students’ time management skills will be honed through practice tests in simulated exam conditions.

E. Math
S4 E. Math focuses on meeting the expectation of the ‘O’ Level E Math syllabus. Revision for the entire ‘O’ Level syllabus will be carried out in the latter half of the year.
Content Mastery
S4 E. Math continues to introduce new concepts like vectors, radian measurement and additional statistical plots. Familiarisation of the equations in the mathematical formulae is also crucial to become exam ready.
Skills and Techniques
Identification of topics and question requirements is prioritised, along with practising ample examination questions for exposure.
Revision and Reinforcement
Intensive revision will be focused on mastering all the E Math concepts through topical revision packages. Examination skills such as time management and error analysis will be honed through practice tests.

A. Math
S4 A Math focuses on meeting the expectation of the ‘O’ Level A Math syllabus. Revision for the entire ‘O’ Level syllabus will be carried out in the later half of the year.
Content Mastery
S4 A Math continues to introduce more concepts, namely calculus, geometric theorems, and application-based kinematics.
Skills and Techniques
Problem sums that involving real-world situations and combines the knowledge of multiple concepts are a top priority to prepare students for the challenging final exam.
Revision and Reinforcement
Intensive revision will be focused on mastering all the A Math concepts through topical revision packages. Examination skills such as time management and error analysis will be honed through practice tests.

Term 1 and the start of Term 2 complete the syllabus. From the mid-year point the lessons switch to revision by topic and then to timed past-year papers, with every paper marked and the errors sorted into content gaps and careless mistakes. The last weeks before each paper go on the question types that cost the most marks in that subject.
Yes, and many do after the mid-year results. The tutor uses the first lesson to find the weak topics and plans the remaining lessons around them. A student who joins in July still has about three months of weekly lessons plus holiday sessions before the written papers.
Yes. Secondary 5 students sitting the O Levels after their N Levels join our Sec 4 classes for the same subjects, since the syllabus and the exam are the same.
Secondary classes are $220 to $250 for four lessons of 1.5 to 2 hours each, depending on the subject. There is no registration fee and no material fee. If your child takes two subjects you get $20 off, and three or more subjects get $60 off. The full table is on the fees page.
Yes. A free trial lesson is available to new students who book one in advance. Book the trial online or message the centre on WhatsApp, and we will place your child in the right class for their level and subject.
