Pomodoro Technique
By the EduZ Tuition team of tutors. Meet the team.
Do you want to learn how to manage your time better? Try the Pomodoro Technique! It's a popular method that helps students, perfectionists, and procrastinators stay focused and productive. You work in short, 25-minute bursts and then take a break before starting again. It's like a fun and challenging game to see how much you can accomplish in a set amount of time. Give it a try and see how much you can achieve!

Are you tired of staring at your screen for hours without getting anything done? Enter the Pomodoro Technique! Here's how it works:
- Make a to-do list and grab a timer (or use an app!)
- Set the timer for 25 minutes and give your task your undivided attention
- When the timer goes off, take a 5-minute break to stretch, grab a snack, or just rest your brain
- After 4 rounds, take a longer break of 15-30 minutes to recharge before diving back in. Get ready to conquer your to-do list with the power of Pomodoro!
How to use for effective study:
1. Adjust your intervals accordingly
Hey, you Pomodoro pro! Remember, the 25-minute work and 5-minute break is just a suggestion. If you're a focus machine and need more time, go for it! Try 45 or 50 minutes with a 10-minute break. The key is finding what works best for you and sticking to it. Keep crushing those tasks!
2. Refrain from straying too far away during breaks
Okay, it's break time! Step away from the games and TV, my friend. We don't want to break our awesome learning flow and end up back in procrastination land. So, let's avoid any distractions that might lure us back to the dark side. How about stretching your legs with a quick lap around your house, or grabbing a yummy drink to recharge your brain batteries?
3. Plan ahead
Ready to dive into your intervals? Before you do, take a moment to make a clear plan of what you want to conquer at the end of each one!

4. Leave your study table (and phone) when taking breaks
During your breaks, switch up your scenery and give your brain a well-deserved break. Try not to reach for your textbooks or phone – they'll still be there when you're finished! Instead, get up and stretch, go for a quick walk, or take a moment to meditate. Remember, it's important to recharge your brain batteries so you can come back stronger and more focused than ever!
